Labour Market Survey for WYG Consulting

Within project 'Improvement of Public Employment Services in Turkey' UDA Consulting was contracted to implement a labour market survey in Samsun. The aim of the project was to understand the labour market structure and develop a labour market analysis guideline for further reporting across Turkey. Survey was implemented by face to face interviews with 1387 enterprises based in Samsun. The output of this project constructed a baseline for the next larger project. It also strengthened capacity on labour statistics of Samsun ISKUR Directorate.

Providing Agro-pedological and Climatological  Knowledge Base

Agro-pedological and Knowledge Base

The main purpose of the project was to collect agronomic data in order to enrich the current database for Ukraine and Turkey and to allow a calibration of the crop growth model for the most important crops in these countries. These models produced several information on the different crops simulated in CGMS: their development status, the carbon balance information, and also about the water balance of the plant and soil.

Within the scope of project, the M&E expert supported project team in development of ALMP monitoring and evaluation system.The services include, proving assistance to detailed review of existing programmes and contributions to the establishment & the refinement of a model for ALMP Evaluation which was reviewed by working groups.

UDA Consulting carried out a consultancy project for MERKA Company which started to produce roller for printing press machines. Within scope of project, a market research was conducted to understand the sector and players and based on the result of this research, a strategy was developed for the company. During the field survey, 253 printing offices were visited and qualitative and quantitative data was collected.

Improving Agricultural Statistics

UDA Consulting was contracted by Ministry of Development-COMCEC OIC to carry out the study on “Improving Agricultural Statistics In The COMCEC OIC Region”. The study included managing agricultural statistical systems including agricultural data collection, compilation, processing, and dissemination in the COMCEC OIC Region. UDA experts identified the key factors for enhancing the cooperation and coordination between organizations and other stakeholders for producing agricultural statistics in the COMCEC OIC Region.

Evaluation of the Psychosocial Programme

UDA Consulting in collaboration with METU DMC (Disaster Management Implementation and Research Center) was contracted by UNICEF to carry out the study “Evaluation of the Psychosocial Programme conducted after Van Earthquake”, with the purpose of evaluating the psychosocial activities carried out after Van earthquake by UNICEF and Ministry of Family and Social Policy to people who were affected by the disaster.

Thermal Power Plant and Mines

UDA Consulting carried out a survey for the joint project of Middle East Technical University Mining, Engineering and Sociology Departments, with TUBITAK. The research explored the social impacts of a thermal power plant and mines on people living in and around the cities of Afşin and Elbistan. UDA Consulting was responsible for carrying out fieldwork which included conducting 1000 face-to-face questionnaires in 20 villages and surrounding communities live in city centres.


Evaluation of UN Development Cooperation Strategy

UDA Consulting was commissioned by UNDP Turkey to conduct independent evaluation of United Nations cooperation strategy with Turkish Government covering the period of 2011-2015.The overall objective of the evaluation are to gather key findings and lessons learned to inform the implementation stages of the next programme cycle, and to support greater accountability towards agreed national objectives and priorities in Turkey.

Georgia: Household Surveys on Forest Use

The objective of the study is to assist the forest policy on forest dependence, poverty and natural hazards in Georgia. It is also aimed to enhance the understanding of the linkages between poverty and forest dependency globally. The outcomes of the study will help to support the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resource Protection (MENRP), and National Forest Agency (NFA) in particular, in the on-going sector reforms. The data is obtained through household visits and by survey method.
