Full title:
Poverty, Forest Dependence, and Land Degradation in the Lagging Regions of Tunisia

The proposed study aims to analyze linkages between poverty, forest dependence, and land degradation among the Northwest and Center-west regions of Tunisia. The primary instrument, a socioeconomic household survey, will provide baseline and supplemental evidence to concurrent World Bank projects.

The objective of this study is:

  • to measure poverty robustly in areas of the project using SWIFT methodology;
  • to collect all determinants to later measure forest income with SWIFT methodology; and
  • to provide M&E tools to the ILM project team.
