Strengthening Social Cohesion for Syrian Refugees and Turkish Host Communities – Multi-Services Centres

The MSC Project supports ten Multi-Service Centres (MSCs) in Istanbul, Ankara, Mersin, Hatay, Kilis, Gaziantep and Mardin, on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Once a year, GIZ conducts a round of intensive monitoring to evaluate progress and provide data for reporting. To support this process, GIZ contracted UDA Consulting to support data collection and recording, analysis of qualitative data, improving feedback to NGO partners, and support knowledge management.

  • Advise on systematic interview recording and analysis, potentially using IT-tablet-based solutions such as KoBo Toolbox
  • Enter quantitative data in database and support with analysis, in cooperation with international consultant
  • Analyse and summarise qualitative data
  • Advise on method/tool to store qualitative data (e.g. database, summary sheets etc)
  • Create individual feedback reports for up to 10 MSCs
  • Conduct interviews with up to 300 persons in up to 7 Turkish provinces, in cooperation with GIZ staff
  • Select and hire a team of data collection assistants according to specifications
  • Conduct training of data collectors in ethical research, data protection, GIZ standards, and tools, in cooperation with GIZ staff
